1. Who we are

Align ("Align", "we", "us", "our") provides AI-powered conversation rehearsal for workplace professionals. Users practise difficult workplace conversations with a voice-based AI partner and receive a structured debrief.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights. It applies to all use of our website at rehearse.livealign.co and livealign.co.

2. Scope and applicable law

Align is operated from Singapore and made available globally. We comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"). Where users are located in jurisdictions with additional data protection laws — including the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("EU GDPR"), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), or equivalent — we also comply with the requirements of those laws in respect of those users.

This policy is written to give all users a clear, equivalent set of rights regardless of where they are located.

5. Analytics and cookies

We use product analytics to understand how Align is used and to improve the experience. We currently use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC, United States).

Google Analytics collects information about your visit, including pages viewed, approximate location, device characteristics, and aggregated usage patterns. This data is processed by Google as our data processor. See https://policies.google.com/privacy for details.

Where required by law (including in the EU, UK, and certain other jurisdictions), we will request your consent for non-essential analytics cookies via a cookie banner before they are set. You may withdraw consent at any time through the cookie preferences link in our footer.

Essential session cookies (used to keep you logged in) do not require consent and are always active when you use the service.

6. Service providers

To provide the service, we share certain data with the following third-party providers, who act as data processors on our behalf:

Anthropic, PBC (United States) — provides the AI conversation engine. Rehearsal transcripts and session context are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate coaching responses. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models. See https://www.anthropic.com/privacy

ElevenLabs, Inc. (United States) — provides voice generation and speech recognition for the rehearsal experience. Audio is transmitted in real time. See https://elevenlabs.io/privacy

Supabase, Inc. (United States) — provides our database and authentication infrastructure. Stores your account data and rehearsal records. See https://supabase.com/privacy

Vercel, Inc. (United States) — hosts our website and receives standard server access logs. See https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Google LLC (United States) — provides Google Workspace for our internal email and Google Analytics for product analytics. If you contact us, your message is processed by Google. See https://policies.google.com/privacy

Each of these processors operates under their own data protection terms. We have data processing agreements in place where required.

7. International transfers

Align operates from Singapore, and most of our service providers are based in the United States. When your data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the Singapore PDPA's data transfer requirements (such as written agreements binding the recipient to a comparable standard of protection), or equivalent mechanisms recognised under applicable law.

For users in the EU/UK, transfers to the United States and other third countries are made under the relevant safeguards required by EU/UK GDPR.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in significant harm or significant impact on your rights, we will notify the relevant authorities and you in line with our legal obligations.

Align is not directed at users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by a clear notice on the website. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the policy was last revised.
