Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
ALIGN LIFESTYLE PTE. LTD. ("Align", "we", "us", or "our") delivers AI-driven speech rehearsal tailored for working professionals. Our platform enables you to practice challenging workplace interactions alongside a conversational AI counterparty and obtain detailed feedback following each session.
This Privacy Policy outlines the personal data we gather, our processing practices, external disclosures, and the options available to you. These terms govern all visits to our domains at rehearse.livealign.co and livealign.co.

2. Scope and applicable law
Align is operated from Singapore and made available globally. We handle personal data in line with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"), the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and any other data protection laws that apply to us.
This policy is written to give all users a clear, equivalent set of rights regardless of where they are located.
3. Data we collect
When you use Align, we may collect the following types of personal data:
Account data
Information you give us to create and manage your account, such as your contact details (such as email address and name) and sign-in information.
Rehearsal data
Information you give us to set up a rehearsal, the written record of each rehearsal, and any feedback you give us afterwards. Audio is processed in real time and is not stored by Align.
Your workplace and other people
Align works best when you describe your real situation. Please don't share confidential employer information, such as trade secrets or passwords. Please also leave out personal details about other people that the rehearsal doesn't need. A first name and a role is usually enough.
Subscription and usage data
Information about your plan, billing and subscription status.
Technical data
Information about your device, browser and connection, and analytical data on how you use Align. This includes information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
We do not currently use advertising trackers or marketing cookies. If we add any in future, we will update this policy and request your consent where required.
4. How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- Provide the rehearsal service
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Save your rehearsal history so you can review past sessions
- Understand product usage and improve the service
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, section 9 sets out the legal basis we rely on for each of these uses.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your rehearsal transcripts to train AI models.
5. Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies keep you signed in and keep your account secure. They are always on, because the service doesn't work without them.
Analytics cookies help us understand how Align is used so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC, United States) and PostHog (provided by PostHog, Inc., United States). They record things like pages viewed, approximate location, device type, overall usage patterns, and how you move through the site, with all text you type or see masked.
Analytics only runs if you agree to it. When you first visit, a banner asks you to choose:
- Accept all: essential cookies plus analytics
- Essential only: essential cookies only. No analytics runs.
We remember your choice in your browser for 12 months. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
6. Service providers
To provide the service, we share certain data with the types of service provider below. Each one receives only what it needs for its role.

We have set our voice provider not to keep your recordings or transcripts after a call ends. Under our providers' terms, your conversations may not be used to train AI models.
Each provider operates under its own data protection terms. We have data processing agreements in place where required. You may seek further information on our service providers by emailing privacy@livealign.co.
7. International transfers
Align operates from Singapore, and most of our service providers are based in the United States. Your account and rehearsal data are stored on servers in Ireland, in the European Union. Because we run Align from Singapore and use providers in other countries, your data may be transferred to, or accessed from, countries outside the one you live in. When your data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards. These may include Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the Singapore PDPA's data transfer requirements (such as written agreements binding the recipient to a comparable standard of protection), or equivalent mechanisms recognised under applicable law.
For users in the EU and UK, transfers to the United States and other third countries are made under the safeguards required by EU and UK GDPR.
8. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires.
- Account data: kept while your account is active. Deleted within a reasonable period after you close your account, except where we are legally required to keep certain records for longer (for example, payment records for tax purposes).
- Rehearsal data (transcripts, situation descriptions, and your answers after each rehearsal): kept for as long as your account is open, so you can look back on your rehearsals. Deleted within a reasonable period after you close your account, or sooner if you ask us to delete specific rehearsals.
- Server logs: kept for a limited period for security purposes.
- Analytics data: kept for a limited period, only for visitors who accepted analytics cookies.
9. Legal bases for processing
The table below shows the legal basis we rely on for each purpose identified in section 4.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
We need your account and rehearsal data to provide the service. If you choose not to give it to us, we cannot run rehearsals for you.
10. Your rights
Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data (the "right to be forgotten" or right to erasure for EU and UK residents)
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances (for EU and UK residents)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests (for EU and UK residents)
- Receive your data in a portable format (data portability)
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent as the legal basis
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@livealign.co from the email address on your account.
We will respond within one month (or 30 days) from the day we receive your request. If a request is complex, the law may allow us more time. If we need it, we will tell you within the first month and explain why.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first by emailing privacy@livealign.co. You can also complain to a data protection authority at any time.
In Singapore, you may also contact the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) at https://www.pdpc.gov.sg. Users in the EU may contact their national data protection authority. Users in the UK may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk.
11. Security
We protect your data using industry-standard security measures, including:
- Encryption
- Access controls
- Regular security updates
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in significant harm or significant impact on your rights, we will notify the relevant authorities and you in line with our legal obligations.
12. Children
Align is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by a clear notice on the website. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the policy was last revised.
