Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Align ("Align", "we", "us", "our"), an AI-powered conversation rehearsal service accessible at rehearse.livealign.co and operated by ALIGN LIFESTYLE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202435232H), a private limited company incorporated in Singapore.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What Align is
Align provides AI-powered roleplay rehearsal for difficult workplace conversations. Users select a scenario, describe their situation, and rehearse the conversation with an AI character voiced through speech synthesis. The AI also provides optional in-rehearsal tactical guidance (Teaching Mode) and a structured debrief after each session.
Important: Align is not therapy, mental health treatment, medical advice, legal advice, or a substitute for human coaching, counselling, or any qualified professional service. Please see our AI Coaching Disclaimer for more.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Align. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Your account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately at hello@livealign.co of any unauthorised use
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the service or other users.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Align for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or extract our AI models, prompts, or system design
- Use the service to harass, threaten, defame, or harm others
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems
- Use the service to generate content that infringes third-party rights
- Share your account with others or resell access without our written permission
- Test, probe, or scan our systems for security vulnerabilities without prior written consent
- Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access or interact with the service
6. AI coaching disclaimer
The AI-generated content provided by Align — including in-rehearsal tactical guidance and the post-rehearsal debrief — is informed by professional coaching principles but is not therapy, mental health treatment, medical advice, legal advice, or a replacement for qualified professional services.
The AI may produce errors, omit important context, or provide guidance that is not appropriate for your specific situation. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on conversations with Align.

7. Beta and paid access
Align is currently in a beta period during which access is provided free of charge to selected users. After the beta period, paid subscription tiers will be introduced.
Pricing, billing terms, refund policies, and any subscription mechanics will be presented clearly before any charges are applied to you. Continued use after pricing is introduced will require accepting updated commercial terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Align service — including the software, voice prompts, system prompts, system design, brand, and documentation — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for personal or internal business purposes during the term of your account.
Your rehearsal content (the situations you describe, what you say during rehearsals, and the resulting transcripts) remains yours. You grant us a licence to use this content solely to operate and improve the service, in line with our Privacy Policy.
9. No warranty
Align is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- That the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure
- That the AI's responses will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for any specific situation
- That use of the service will produce any particular outcome
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Align, its founders, employees, or service providers be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service
- Damages arising from any decisions you make based on conversations with the AI
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$200.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including (where applicable) liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Where you have non-excludable consumer rights under the laws of your country of residence, those rights continue to apply.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@livealign.co. We will action the deletion within 30 days, in line with our Privacy Policy.
We may terminate or suspend your account if:
- You breach these Terms
- We are required to do so by law
- We discontinue the service (with reasonable prior notice)
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by a clear notice on the website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Subject to any non-excludable rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence:
- Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
- For commercial disputes, the parties may agree to refer the dispute to arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in accordance with its arbitration rules.
If you are a consumer based in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction that grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, nothing in this clause limits that right.
14. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right. These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy and AI Coaching Disclaimer) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.
